    6 Lancasters from 424 and 433 squadrons were joined by 6 Halifaxes from 427 and 429 squadrons on a mining operation to Oslo. The crews were over the garden at between 8,000 and 15,000 feet, sowing 30@1500 lb, 12@1800 lb and 12@1000 lb mines.

    F/Lt J. Thomas from 424 squadron did not mine as his navigation aids were u/s.F/O H. Mitchell and F/Lt D. Ross landed at Charterhall on return due to poor weather at base.

    F/Lt R. Garvin, F/Lt W. Britton and F/O T. Wagar from 427 Squadron landed at Charterhall on return due to poor weather at base.

    F/Lt K. Powell, F/Lt H. MacDonald and F/Lt R. Mitchell from 429 Squadron landed at Charterhall on return due to poor weather at base.

    F/O W. Simpson, F/O G. Walton and F/Lt E. Smyth from 433 Squadron landed at Charterhall on return due to poor weather at base.
